Voices of Indiana: Young Voices
Auditions to participate in the Voices of Broadway production of GETTING TO KNOW...THE SOUND OF MUSIC are a requirement for participation. Please note: this VOB production is only open to participants 18 or under. Cast will be select - not all that audition will be invited to participate.
Voices of Broadway is an educational program, offering a fully-staged theatrical experience, with instruction for both what goes on onstage and backstage. There is a $100 fee to participate. Cast members will keep their script and a show t-shirt (included in the fee). Limited tuition assistance and scholarships are available. $25 minimum deposit as a script fee upon acceptance of role.
This production is open to ages 18 and under.
Auditions will be at Community Fellowship Church, 505 Bielby Rd, Lawrenceburg, IN 47025.
APRIL 3: 4:00-7:30 PM Auditions
APRIL 4: 4:00-7:30 PM Auditions
For your audition, please prepare one verse of a Broadway or Disney song. Selection does NOT need to be from THE SOUND OF MUSIC.
Scripts will be available for cold readings.
Slots are to help with managing the audition times, but be prepared to wait as needed. Walk-ins will be seen as time allows.
If needed, Call Backs will be on a different day, TBD (target is Friday, April 5).
Rehearsals will start in MAY; performances are JUNE 28 (evening) & 29 (matinee and evening) at Lawrenceburg High School (LHS) Auditorium.
Rehearsal Schedule will be based in part on the availability of the participants; after school lets out for the summer, rehearsals will be primary in the mornings during the week.
Stage/Tech Crew, Pit Musicians, General Volunteers (all ages welcome for these!) No participation fee for these positions. VOB has a new microphone system, and the LHS Auditorium is a traditional proscenium theater with a fly rail system for lighting and scenery. If interested, fill in a slot (near the end of the sign up). The times (4:00 slot) don't mean anything. :)
