Our Kidz4Kidz campaign is empowering kids to make a difference for kids in the hospitals through writing and art. Kids groups in the community make cards/crafts around 10 holidays out of the year that are then given to families with medically fragile children.
How it works:
1.) Choose a holiday and sign up your kids group. State how many children are participating and how many cards/crafts you are making in comment space. We ask for 20-30 minimum.
2.) Decide if you want to make a card or craft. If you want to make a holiday craft and need idea's then please ask Nicolette Moinet! ([email protected]) We ask that you use your own supplies, and if things must be purchased we can offer an inkind donation receipt.
3.) Before you make card/crafts take 5-10 minutes to explain why this makes such a difference to the kids volunteering. If you need help with this, we would be happy to assist you! We want children to understand what an impact they are making as well as understand who these cards are going to. Then begin creating and have fun!
4.) Schedule a time to drop off cards/crafts a minimum of 2 days before the holiday to Nicolette Moinet in Cary. If it is a seasonal "holiday" like Spring or Fall, the drop off date will be scheduled around our last Comfort Cooks outreach on the 4th Sunday of the month.
Thank you for teaching your kids the value of serving! Take pictures while you are creating these cards/crafts and tag us on social media and share yourself using the hashtag #Kidz4Kidz. On facebook/TW/IG our handle is @DTMfoundation.
