Three Hour Clinic

Time is on your Side

We love our dogs, and love our sport.  If left on their own, our dogs will walk around the yard and smell for as long as it suits them.  Yes, sniffy time is critical for health and welfare.  In competition, we know full well we have a time limit.  How do you communicate the time limit to your dog?  Does stress flow down the line?

In this workshop you will develop your own sense of time, learn to love the sound of 30 seconds, and develop training strategies that serve your team needs.

This seminar is suitable for teams who have been on odor for about 6 months.  Heidi will provide support to ensure all teams are given the appropriate challenge.

In NW1 we are laying the foundation skills for understanding how long you have been in an area, and when to move on.  In NW2 you are beginning to face a bit more time pressure, and still know how many hides you need to find.  In NW 3, 30 seconds can be an invitation to force your dog to false, or succeed.  In elite 30 seconds can be many points.
