Parents, athletes and coaches are invited to attend this informational talk with Marcia Nelson, the Director of Sports Nutrition at the University of New Hampshire in Durham. Marcia will share the latest on pre- and post-workout nutrition for optimal athletic performance and overall health for young athletes.

This talk will provide insight into proper choices for nutrition to aid in athletic performance and overall health for young athletes.
Marcia, a Registered Dietitian, specializes in sports nutrition and is currently enjoying her dream job as the Director of Sports Nutrition at the University of New Hampshire. She works with teams and individual athletes using a food first, non-diet approach, helping athletes discover how to fuel for optimal athletic performance. She has recently joined NourishingNH, a weight inclusive private practice, providing sports nutrition counseling for athletes of all ages and abilities. Marcia has had internships with the University of Alabama and the University of Oregon as well as 6 years of clinical experience in Boston and New Hampshire.

The Safe Sports Network is a non-profit that offers free evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries for student athletes in Greater Manchester, NH. We offer a free Drop In Clinic for sports-related injuries and baseline concussion testing.
