Dr. Lichtenstein's full bio is attached below.

Presentation Overview:

In this presentation, Dr. Lichtenstein will be discussing the emotional effects of concussions. Children experience emotional changes following concussion, but these concerns are not as commonly discussed due to their somewhat “invisible” nature, along with the general stigma around such topics in our society. This presentation will focus on the mental health challenges that occur in the context of youth concussion, covering knowledge, comprehension, and application of this very important subject.

Key Topics Include:

  1. Recognizing common mood and affective symptoms following concussion in youth.
  2. Identifying multiple reasons for changes in mood/affect following youth concussion.
  3. Naming interventions/resources for managing mental health issues following concussion.

All attendees must register in advance. A link to access the presentation will be provided to all registered attendees.
