2021-2022 First Tuesday Invitees
The Community Foundation for Northern Virginia staff invites community-based nonprofits to join us for a 30-minute open and information discussion about what you are seeing in the community, the issues you face, and anything else that's on your mind. First Tuesdays are an indivdiual, one-on-one meeting with your nonprofit and The Community Foundation for Northern Virginia.
First Tuesdays are not intended to be an opportunity to request funds from the Community Foundation or to discuss past, present, or future funding. Rather, we want to use these meetings to build relationships, share information, brainstorm ideas, and discover new approaches or new ways of tackling an issue in a neutral, relaxed setting.
** Please do not sign up for a slot if you have met with Community Foundation staff during the last year. Please only sign up for ONE SLOT. First Tuesday meetings are held on Zoom. **
One week prior to the meeting, please email a one-page description of your common donor requests (both monetary and in-kind), as well as what various donation amounts will buy for your clients, a general overview of your organization, and any mission critical achievements. You are welcome but not required to provide general promotional materials (annual reports, brochures, etc.). Please do not feel obligated to prepare a formal presentation. All materials should be sent via email one week prior to the meeting to [email protected].
