A RYE Y TOGETHERHOOD PROJECT IN PARTNERSHIP WITH
PORT CHESTER MIDDLE SCHOOL
The mission of the PCMS Giving Garden Summer Program is to provide local families with children opportunities for social engagement, nutrition education and access to free organic produce. Through their work in the garden, students learn about environmental sustainability, food production and community connections. Through its partnerships with local food pantries and soup kitchens, the school donates approximately 1,000 pounds of fresh, organic produce every summer to Port Chester families.
Rye Y Togetherhood volunteers will help with weeding, planting, harvesting and whatever is needed.
For ages 4+, under 14 must be accompanied by a participating adult.
