F4L Update: Wonderful families thoughout Atlanta have commited to cook food in their homes 7 days/week and then we are serving about 100 boxes out downtown. Depending on the day, the food will get packed at the families homes or at the kitchen. With these familes cooking in their homes, F4L is entering the next phase where we will cook more food in the F4L kitchen or work on making F4L more effecient so it can continue to grow. We are in need of volunteers who are willing to commit not only their time, but more importantly their TLC to Food4Lives. General Service has a 4 hour time slot, but you are by no means registering to commit all those 4 hours; you can treat it just as a place holder. You are encouraged though, to sign up, and let us know when you plan to come to the kitchen and for how long. While there, you will be working alongside Veda, the Food4Lives founder, and he will help engageing you in service.
Depending on the day, and number of volunteers available, General Service at the Kitchen can consist of: cooking food, packing food boxes, inventory management, warehouse arrangement, or kitchen beautification (cleaning). Upon signing up, please note down when you plan to come and for how long in the comments section.
Next, one of our full-time volunteers goes out everyday and serves the food boxes the wonderful families throughout Atlanta prepare, and they could use your help with distribution. That usually takes place around 2:30-4:00, depending on the day. The way this will work is once you sign up, someone will message you a proper time when to meet at the kitchen to head out for distribution.
Kitchen Address: 1122 Old Chattahoochee Ave NW, Atlanta, GA 30318
