Rare Women's Day of Service project is to provide at least one cookie package for each of the 180 seniors who receive daily meals from Chapel Hill-Carrboro Meals on Wheels (CHCMOW). You can provide cookies, brownies, or other types of bars (chewy, not super crunchy) - nuts are OK to include. Approximately 25% of the seniors need sugar-free desserts. On the Day of Service, volunteers (as young as 3!) will decorate bags to put the cookies and bars in. Other volunteers (12 and older) will package the cookies in the decorated bags.
All cookies and bars must be delivered to the Community Room at the beginning of the Day of Service, i.e. at 9 am on Saturday, March 7th.
Please review the available slots below (each of which represents 3 dozen regular size cookies or 2 dozen jumbo cookies, brownies, or bars) and click on the button to sign up.
Contact Susan Blanchard ([email protected]) if you would like to have sugar-free recipes from CHCMOW.
