2020 IOP Connector Run and Walk for the Child - Community Volunteers

 

Greetings to our Community of Volunteers!

 

Thank you for your interest and great spirit.  

Please check out the many ways you can help make this 28th Annual Run a continuing success

as we have fun and raise funds for the

Prevention of Child Abuse in our community.

WAIVER

By submitting this entry, Volunteers agree to the provisions of this waiver:  

Waiver:  In consideration of acceptance of the entry, I for myself, heirs, and assigns, hereby release the sponsors, race workers, and officials of this race from any and all liability arising from illness, injuries, and damages I may suffer as a result of participation in such event.  I attest that I am physically trained for this event and am aware that participation in any of these events could, in some circumstances result in severe injury.  I also give permission for free use of my name and picture in any broadcast, telecast, or written account of the event.  Should race officials determine that completion of the event would be injurious to my health, I consent to be removed from the course and treated by the physician in attendance of their direction.

Assist RMS in pre-positioning fencing and other structures approaching finish line. Some lifting required.

Finish Line Set-up, Timing and Take-Down (4)

Assist RMS with --setting up Finish Line --Timing operations during run. --Take down Finish Line after last runner

8:30 Relay race results to awards table

Report directly to Registration Table: Take new registration forms from Registration Table to Finish Line/Timing

 
Race Course: Direct and Cheer ------------------------ Volunteers Aged 14+ -------- Check in at Volunteer Tent on JC Long Blvd.  6:30am - 9:00am  

A Team - Start line to Connector (8)

 

B Team - Beginning of Connector to to the top of the bridge. (8)

 

C Team - From top of the bridge to Mile Marker 1 (8)

 

D Team - Mile Marker 1 to 5K Turnaround and Water Table. (10)

 

E Team - Mt. Pleasant 10 K Turnaround and Water table (5)

 
Trailer Assistant Palm Blvd. between 13th and Connecoor  6:45am - 11:00am  

Trailer Assistant (4)

Assist with either the cones and signs or Water Table supplies delivery on the connector. Two Trailers will be in the median of Palm Blvd. before the intersection. Will proceed at 7 am when bridge opens.

 
Post Race Party  7:30am - 10:30am  

Post Race Water Tables (5)

Distribute bottles near finish line, or fill cups at the water station

 

Time Out Teddy Assistant

Hand out brochures & flags. Teddy and Assistant can alternate

 

Time Out Teddy Mascot

Wear Teddy Costume, 1st shift Ride in Pace Car. 1st and second shift, Greet people at Post Party.

 
Post Race Clean-up  10:00am - 11:30am  

Clean-up (18)

Help vendors break down booths, take down tables and chairs, take down pop-up tents, signage, banners, etc. Put Ex Club items on trailer. Pick up and dump trash and roll bins to location.
