2020 37th Annual St. Patrick's Day 5K Run & Competitive Walk

It is going to be "Guinness at the Finish" for this 37th Annual Harp & Shamrock St. Patrick's Day 5k Run & Competitive Walk on Saturday,  March 21 at Southside Lions Park East, 4008 Pecan Valley Drive, SATX 78233.   We need volunteers on both March 20th & 21st to make this a super event.  See the duties, slots and times below.

Assist and be the liaison for the race director for continuity purposes in areas of race preparations and logistics, i.e., course layout, water stations, traffic control registration, vendor set, road bowling, etc.

Pickup materials, etc. at Terry Peak’s (514 W. Drexel, SATX) house and transport to race site.

(2 on main road & 2 inside park):Direct arriving vehicles to parking spots.

 

Vehicle #2 - SUV or Van

Shuttle arriving racers from their vehicles parked remotely to registration table.

Setup and staff table to check-in volunteers for race.

Staff registration stations for runner sign-in and payments and handing out shirts, bib numbers, time chips, etc. After race begins move to finish line to help remove time chips from runners’ shoes and then help race director with awards ceremony.

Set-up water jugs, cups and table on course. Staff the station to pass out water to runners.

Kids Run (2)

Kids run will be held same time as adults. Help the race director with lineup, etc. of the kids.
