Baton Rouge Blues Festival 2019
“Alright, we’re done setting up for the next act. Now what? Drive the mule over to the stocking area and pick up some chairs for the VIP area? No sweat…”
-Baton Rouge Blues Festival General Volunteer
What Do We Want?
The Baton Rouge Blues Festival is looking for utilitarian people. General volunteers will handle a variety of different tasks including (but certainly not limited to): setting up before and tearing down after the Festival, helping with the logistics of moving supplies around the Festival area to where they are needed, general manual labor, driving carts and utility vehicles around the Festival area, and other duties as required. This opportunity tends to be a bit more “as needed” than others and may come with a little more downtime than the other opportunities; it also tends to be a bit more labor intensive, so there’s some balance there. Each volunteer shift will cover three hours and volunteers may sign up for more than one shift.
What Do You Get?
Volunteers will receive a Baton Rouge Blues Festival Volunteer T-shirt, 1 complimentary drink ticket after your shift, be invited to attend a post-Festival Thank-You Party, and, of course, feel the warm tingling in your heart of helping to preserve and sustain a treasured part of Baton Rouge’s culture: the Blues.
IMPORTANT NOTE: IT IS NOT REQUIRED TO CREATE A SIGN-UP GENIUS ACCOUNT TO VOLUNTEER!
