Teacher Appreciation (2)

Decorate the classroom door, plan a class gift and coordinate with the PTA Teacher Appreciation Coordinators to help during Teacher Appreciation Week. Teacher Appreciation Week is typically held during the month of May.

 

Author studies (2)

Introduce a new author to the students in their classroom. Once a month/1 hour. All materials provided.

 

Junior Achievement (2)

Introduce business principle to the students. 6 times a year/1 hour each time. This is a great opportunity for Dads to be involved!

Scheduled for May. Chaperone a group of students on a hike to Ensign Peak and also at the Capitol Building.

Trek (6)

Scheduled for May. Meet at Tanner park by the bathrooms around noon. Run activities and games for the students.

 

Rendezvous: Set up and Clean up. (3)

Scheduled in April. Help with tables, chairs, stations, canopies etc..

 

Rendezvous: Hatchet Throwing Station (2)

Scheduled in April. CALLING ALL MEN!!! Men needed to dress as mountain men. Set up and manage the hatchet throwing station. Start growing those beards now!

 

Rendezvous: Tall Tales and Popcorn Station

Scheduled in April. In charge of bringing popcorn for the students as they listen to tall tales.

 

Rendezvous: Boondoggle Starts

Completed before the Rendevous. We need 40 boondoggle starts ready to go on April 19th for the rendezvous so channel your inner craftiness!

 

Rendezvous: Boondoggle Station

Scheduled in April. Help students weave boondoggle. Boondoggle is provided.

 

Rendezvous: Panning for Gold Station

Scheduled in April. Help students pan for gold.

 

Rendezvous: Dutch Oven Breakfast Donations (5)

Needed before the Rendezvous. Call Nicole Towers @ 801-580-3943 to donate food or paper supplies.

 

Rendezvous: Trading Post Station (5)

Scheduled for April. Help set up and manage the trading post.

 

Rendezvous: Sack Races/Tug of War Station

Scheduled for April. Organize and run sack races and tug of war between groups.

 

Rendezvous: Watermelon Seed Spitting Station

Scheduled for April. Provide watermelon and sunflower seeds. Organize and run the seed spitting games.

 

Rendezvous: Wanted Posters/Beading

Completed before the Rendezvous. Take pictures of students for their "Wanted Posters."

 

Rendezvous: Leather Punch Station

Scheduled for April. All supplies will be provided. Help students with their leather punch crafts.

Rendezvous: Rope and Tying

Scheduled for April. Example guide board is provided. Bring rope for the students and help them learn to tie the rope by following examples on the board.

 

Rendezvous: Sew "possible" bags

Complete before the Rendezvous. Sew "possible" bags for the students to carry their beaver pelts (trading currency), crafts and small items they purchase at the trading post.
