Apple Pie Childcare
It's that time of year again! This fundraiser is a huge undertaking, but so important to our school. We know how hard it can be to shuffle children around while you work, so we are happy to offer you free, supervised childcare while you work your hours in Apple Pie Production. Our childcare volunteers will supervise your kids on site. Our structured time together will include snacks, free time on the play ground, quiet play and of course, the occasional movie break. The kids love it, and each year we have a great time together. It's always exhausting, but ALWAYS rewarding. I look forward to seeing you all and your kids in childcare this year!
Here are a few things to keep in mind about our childcare program:
-When signing up, please note the hours your children will be in childcare, unless they will be there the whole time.
-Middle school students must be signed up and supervised during the entire project. They may be able to help, but it will be at the discretion of their supervisor, no exceptions.
-Any child that is not 100% potty trained must be in the nursery.
-Dinner will be served to the children on Saturday, and dinner on Monday. We will also provide snacks for the kids at all childcare sessions.
-Children will need to bring a sack lunch on Saturday. FOOD CAN NOT BE TAKEN FROM THE VOLUNTEER MEALS TO PROVIDE A MEAL FOR THE CHILDREN.
-Monday after school, we give the older kids time to do some homework, so encourage them to bring it along. Kids are also welcome to bring along books and group appropriate DVDs to share. If kids bring DVD's, they should be labeled, and handed to the supervisor upon arrival. You should then ask the supervisor for your Dvd's at pick up. The kids will NOT be allowed to handle the dvd's or AV equipment.
