Boston Street Crossing (Salem) is HCP’s newest project (43 Boston Street12 units and 179 Boston Street - 14 units). It is the transformation of two buildings which will, in turn, transform lives. The buildings, badly in need of renovation, will provide 26 units of supportive-living permanent, affordable housing for formerly homeless individuals (case management in collaboration with Lifebridge, Salem). This is in response to a local commitment made by Salem, Beverly and Peabody to work together to directly impact the need for housing in our region. Each unit is approximately 200-250 square feet with a kitchenette and private bath. 43 Boston Street is occupied, each with Welcome Home Baskets provided by community members like you. Christ Church has signed up to create one of the 14 “Welcome Home Basket” to be placed in one of the units. Supplies should be left in designated laundry basket by Preston Cutler room on or Sunday, September 30th.
