We are needing 55+ chili donations. There are no rules on type of chili. Make your favorite recipe of beef, pork, chicken, sausage, vegetarian, venison, wild game, gluten free, etc. There are no fees to enter your chii.  However, if you don't want your chili to be considered for the people's choice award, just note that in the comment section when signing up.  We still need your donated chili and all chili will be entered for a door prize drawing around 6 pm.

There will be a people's choice award for best chili (Blue Ribbon Apron) announced around 8:30 (Voting ends at 8:00) There will also be a runner-up award.

You must bring at least one gallon of warmed chili in a large crockpot or cooker - labeled with your name and phone number on the lid and pot.  If you are making chili but cannot come to the event, you can make ahead of time, freeze it and drop off at church from Oct. 21st - 25th. Email Karen for details: [email protected]  We will have ladles.  We recommend you use a LINER for your chili. We will furnish condiments (grated cheese, onions, fritos, crackers,  jalapenos etc).    Chili Drop off is 2-4pm the day of the event on Oct. 26th, 2019 at the north entrance of the church which is at the corner of 412 and S. West End Street in Springdale.  There will be tables just inside the north entrance and volunteers to help you. Entry to the festival begins at 5:00 and requires a ticket.   

It will be self-serve chili during the event and we will have volunteers to help oversee the area.  However, you can serve your own chili, brag about it, and decorate your station if you like but it is not necessary.  We want you to wander around and enjoy the event.  Don't forget to take your crockpot home at the end of the night if you can.  Otherwise, you can pick it up after the 10:30 am mass Sunday, Oct. 27th,  or by the end of the next week in the church office. (Hours are 9-5 Mon-Thurs and 9-12 on Friday)
