  • Showcase their own heritage by creating and hosting an Experience and/or
  • Perform a song, dance, etc. on the cafeteria stage [be sure to specify country and activity]

Making polish book marks, table will be decorated and Ayda/Mom will help facilitate making bookmarks in the traditional polish art form

We will decorate our table and have the kids do a Romanian craft - Martisor - a litltle wearable pin that celebrates spring.

We will show Alina's and Aleksa's project called "AAlbania" where some elementary children from Albania will present themselvs and their school. After the slideshow the kids can write a short letter to the albanian kids and share the things they like.

England--we'll read a bit about King Arthur & heraldry, and have the children make a coat of arms.

Japan - All travelers will be able to experience origami-craft. A personalized bookmark with Japanese caracters will be a souvenir as well.

Our au pair Lucia from Columbia will represent her country. She is still working on exactly what she will do.

Madeline and Mom will teach facts about Nova Scotia, our family history there, and Celtic fiddling across Nova Scotia and Canada.

We will decorate our own Chinese tables and show case Chinese cultures with interactive games such as teaching kids how to write their names in Chinese

We will show the kids how to perform Palestinian Dabke and how to write their names in Arabic.
Alba Kiihl
The room will be decorated showcasing two staples of the Brazilian culture: soccer (futebol) and samba/csrnaval. As for experience, we’ll watch a short video teaching simple steps of the samba and then play some music for the kids to dance carnaval.

We will teach the kids Bulgarian folk dances. We will also decorate our table with traditional Bulgarian souvenirs, and will show the kids how to make Martenitza, traditional red and white bracelet, that they can wear for good luck and health.

We will be showing the special attractions of the Dominican Republic its music and the kids will be able to make the flag.
