Level Evaluation Classes 2022

Level Evaluation Classes are special free-to-attend classes for all Ballet 1+ and Modern 1+ dancers (usually ages 7-18 years). All ballet and/or modern dancers are encouraged, but not required, to attend the evaluation class for their current level (as of Winter/Spring 2022). Students who are new to HPSD's ballet and modern dance programs but planning to attend in the summer or fall are also encouraged to attend to get a better sense of their future leveling.

Level Recommendations, which contain the recommended placement for the Fall 2022 session along with individual feedback from each student's instructor, are sent every summer to the parents of dancers in Level 1 and up. Dancers who are not in attendance at Level Evaluation Classes will still receive Level Recommendations, but participation in these special classes offers dancers an excellent opportunity to get some more specific feedback on their Level Recommendations, and is strongly encouraged. 

Dancers should check in 10-15 mins before their scheduled class start times below and be warmed up and ready to dance. Dancers with split-level placement may attend Level Evaluation Classes for each of their two levels in any one dance type. If split-level dancers are only able to attend one Level Evaluation Class per dance type, they are encouraged to attend the class corresponding with their upper level.
