Welcome new and returning ArtsFest Vendors!

The Alternative Gallery is pleased to announce that vendor registration for ArtsFest 2019  is now open!

If you've found this page, you likely already know some of what ArtsFest is about, but just in case, we'll break it down here for you...

Allentown ArtsFest is run by an Allentown-based, community-focused non-profit art organization known as The Alternative Gallery. The AG is run entirely by volunteers, and seeks to improve our local community by making art of all types accessible to everyone, regardless of income.

ArtsFest is an admission free, three day festival which highlights the diverse art, music, food, and culture to be found in our local area, offering something for everyone to enjoy.

The highlights of ArtsFest include a full scale skate park, large graffiti murals created on site, break-dancing battles, screenings of independent films and shorts, comedy and improv sets, children's art activities, live art and technology demos, great local food and craft beers, over 60 musical performances of all genres, and of course, the most unique and interesting artwork we can find from our local and regional art community.

Whether you're a seasoned artisan familiar with vending at festivals, or you're a newcomer looking to share your art with a larger audience, there is a place for you at ArtsFest. If you're interested in joining us this year as a vendor, please read on and continue to the registration process.

When is it?

 Friday 9/27/19 4 pm - 11 pm 

Saturday 9/28/19 12 pm - 11 pm

Sunday 9/29/19 11 am - 8 pm


Do I have to be open the whole time?

Vendors located in the Children's Activity Area close at 8 pm each evening.

Art vendors may close at 9 pm on Friday and Saturday evening.

Food vendors may close down at 10 pm on Friday and Saturday evening.

All vendors remain open until 8 pm on Sunday evening.



How much will it cost me to vend?

Non profit fees are $25 for one day or $50 for all 3 days

Artists fees are $200

Food Vendor fees are $550


Do I have to give back a percentage of my sales?

No way! We want our vendors to be as profitable as possible. 

No food tickets. No admission. 

Sell what you make. Keep what you earn.


How much space will I have?

Artists and nonprofit spaces are 15'X15', which fits a 10'X10' tent.

Food Vendor sizes vary based on needs and size of your setup.


What about power and water?

Generator power is brought in for the event and is included in the vendor fees.

Food vendors - Water is available, but direct hookup is not. Standard 110V during festival hours is provided. If overnight power is needed, additional fees will apply.


What do I need to bring?

All vendors are responsible for supplying all of the needed items for their booths, including:


Lighting/Power Cords

Display Racks


What if it rains?

ArtsFest is a rain or shine event.

All performance and activity areas are under large tents, so the show can go on no matter what.


How many people attend ArtsFest?

As it is an admission free festival, there are no ticket sales to monitor attendance, 
but conservative estimates place 2018 at over 25,000 guests!


How many vendors will be there?

Art Vendor space is virtually unlimited, but we do limit the types of similar 
styles/work for sale to ensure the best variety and selection possible.
We had over 100 vendors in 2018, and expect over 125 this year!

Food Vendors are capped at 10 total, and no duplicate styles will be permitted, again, 
to ensure the best variety for our guests and maximum profit for our vendors.


What about direct sales vendors?

Allentown ArtsFest is all about art of all mediums, and we strive to support working artists 
in every way we can. Because of this, we generally only include vendors that are selling their own work, or that of other artists with whom they have a direct connection. This can include original artwork, handmade goods, upcycled items, gourmet food items, and more.

From time to time, we may include direct sales vendors if the item or product is something that will complement the rest of the fest. All vendors applying to sell this type of item are subject to review by the Allentown ArtsFest committee and are not guaranteed admission until confirmed in writing.
