Twin Cities School of Dance
Thank you for volunteering to bake items for our annual Community Bake Sale Booth at the Downtown Bloomington Association’s Farmer’s Market on Saturday, June 15, 2019 from 7:30 am to Noon! Please read through the entire description below for rules and packaging instructions:
Per Health Department guidelines, we can only sell baked goods, such as cookies, pies, brownies, etc. No salsas, jams, preserves, etc. NO perishable items such as cheesecake, anything cream filled, etc.
Whole items: fruit pies, cobblers, pans of brownies, dozen cookies, lemon bars, breads, mini loaves, etc. Pans and boxes should be round, square or loaf-shaped, so customers can carry them easily. Lids or covers should be clear so that customers can see the contents. Disposable foil pans with plastic lids are a cheap option. Clear Rubbermaid containers are also okay.
Single-serve items: cookies, brownies, rice krispies treats, cupcakes, etc. All items MUST be wrapped and/or boxed individually in clear packaging. Snack or quart-sized Ziploc bags are a good option. Guidelines state that we cannot slice or portion out anything at the market. If donating single-serve items, we recommend donating one to two dozen items. These are a great option for customers who want to either snack while they shop or just want something small.
Some nut-free or gluten-free options would be nice, but only if you are 100% sure they are free of those ingredients. Please label these accordingly, or advise at drop-off that they are either nut-free or gluten-free.
Ribbon, price labels, and TCSD labels will be added to all items.
Items should be dropped-off at Greg and Angie Hammes’ house on Friday, June 14 between 12:30 and 4:00 pm, or anytime after 6:00 pm. Our address is 2910 Steppe Lane, Bloomington. Directions: take Veterans Parkway south and turn right on Fox Creek Road (last turn before the interstate). Drive about 1 mile and turn left on Monica Lane. The road will eventually curve to the left and turn into Steppe Lane. Our house is the second to last house on the right side. While Friday is the preferred drop-off day, I will also be at the studio on Thursday, June 13 between 5:15 and 7:00 pm for those who are unavailable to drop-off on Friday.
Our Community Bake Sale Booth will be located at the west corner of Jefferson and Center, in the courthouse square in downtown Bloomington. We encourage you to come out and shop the Farmer’s Market, and of course, to stop by our booth. If you or your dancer are available to help out that morning, then feel free to sign-up! For those helping, please plan to wear TCSD apparel if possible (studio apparel, Nutcracker t-shirt, recital t-shirt, etc). Dancers can also choose to wear dance apparel or costumes from past performances.
If you have any questions, please feel free to text, call or e-mail me. Thanks!
