Courtroom Monitors

February 2019 - Courtroom Monitors for the Mock Trial Competition

The courtroom monitor assists the Judge and maintains orderly use of the courtroom during the mock trial.  Courtroom monitors perform an essential function at the mock trial competition by helping to ensure that the trials run smoothly.   Monitors normally are comprised of JusticeCorps students, local law students and paralegals or legal secretaries from the San Diego Paralegal Association and San Diego Legal Secretaries Association.  A mandatory orientation is provided to all courtroom monitor volunteers before each round of the competition.
