Welcome to Band Camp 2018!
We hope you have had a good, restful summer! We are now preparing for this year's band camp where the students will be learning and rehearsing the Nightwatch field show.
Chaperones are needed for morning, afternoon, and evening shifts. Mornings and evening shifts are generally outdoors, weather permitting. Most of the band is inside during the afternoon shifts though some sections will be practicing outside and will require chaperones.
Uniform volunteers are also needed. There are volunteer slots for sewers and fitters to work at school and sewers to work at home. You do NOT need know how to sew to be a fitter.
Sign up for as many shifts as you would like! Keep in mind that it is likely to be hot, sunny and possibly buggy for the outside shifts. Come prepared! A canopy will be set up by the field in the morning and afternoon to provide some shade.
**ALL fitters and sewers working at the high school and chaperones must have a valid CORI prior to band camp.
**If you can help sew or hem items at your home, a CORI is NOT needed. Please contact Starla Hazen [email protected] for more information.
***As CORIs are on a three year cycle for the entire school district, all CORIs must be updated this year. If you are not sure if your CORI is valid please contact Jeanne Potter at the High School main office. It takes at least 1-2 weeks for the application to be processed. So, if you would like to help out at Band Camp, please apply as soon as possible at the high school office.
***As we must verify your CORI status, please sign up to volunteer using your LEGAL NAME that you used to apply for your CORI.
If you have any other questions, please email us at [email protected] .
