Food Bank at TBE
Temple Beth-El is proud to announce the launch of a Food Bank serving those in need in the community surrounding our synagogue. The Food Bank will be open on Wednesdays from 5pm to 7pm, on a trial basis through 2018. It will operate from the vestibule in front of the main entrance to the sanctuary. There will be a minimum of three people on the premises at all times. The Food Bank will close if we run out of food, or if we aren't able to find three volunteers to staff it. We will distribute only donated cans and boxes of food; new underwear and blankets; gently used coats and other outerwear; and toiletries. (A list of recommended food items for donation is forthcoming.) We do not give cash donations at the food bank, and there is no soliciting on Temple property at other times. Please sign up to volunteer!
