Whether or not we find the idea of "family" thrilling or exhausting (or both!) in light of our own experiences, Christ-followers are a part of God's family. Sadly, however, there is often a disconnect between this reality and Christian practice. In the case of many men in the church, this is often because of an overly-narrow focus on the nuclear family to the exclusion of the family of God; take care of your own household, pray for other households, and perhaps lend a helping hand to them when appropriate.
The result of this often-well-intended focus is brothers in Christ who struggle to connect relationally with other brothers, and who often cut out relationship with sisters in Christ altogether. Like any household, the consequences of such practices are loneliness, dysfunction and stunted development. Join us this year as we see what it looks like to live in the family of God dynamically as opposed to just being a part of it categorically. Our first session will lay the groundwork with a biblical theology of the family of God. Come eat, pray, fellowship and learn with us! Spots are limited, so please RSVP as soon as possible.
