BVMS PTO Committee Signups 2020-21

VP of Business & Social Events

This elected board position oversees all business & social event chairs. Acts as liaison for reports to board, help with: chairs navigating event, finding volunteers, chairs for events, verifying info and supplies are passed on.

Partnerships Chair

Develop business partnerships in our community that will support our PTO through donations, sponsorships or percentage return off BVMS business. This is an ongoing position.

Treasurer - 1st Year

Elected board position responsible for all deposits (pick up, verify, entering and deposit), reconciling with co-treasurer, attend all PTO meetings. Year round 2 year (1 year this position, 1 year 2nd position) commitment. Board vote to fill after sign up

Restaurant Nights Chair

Schedule and coordinate restaurant nights 1-2 times a month. Work as the liaison between the restaurant and school to communicate or provide event info for the newsletter, Facebook and reminder texts. Planning begins over the summer and runs through year.

Cardinal Activity Night (CAN) Co-Chair (2)

Chairs will set the theme of CAN and plan the evening of fun. CAN typically includes organizing the DJ, games, food, concessions, cash/payment requests and deposits and decorations. These are held multiple times throughout the year

Rock N Run Chair (3)

This is our largest fundraiser. You would be responsible for organizing the event, finding donors and vendors, coordinating with office on dates and communication to staff, kids, parents and community. Planning begins in the fall and ends in spring

Book Fair Chair (2)

You will be the point of contact for Scholastic and office to set up delivery, hours and pick-up. Also responsible for cash requests, volunteer assignments and communication to the students, staff and families. There is typically a fall and spring fair.

Spirit Wear Co-Chair (2)

Gather quotes from vendors, design the items, keep reports of sales and inventory, arrange with other committee chairs for set up for sale at events, set up volunteers sign ups. You will begin planning in the summer and run sales throughout the year.

Fall Family Night Chair (3)

We are looking at a few ideas that would work with social distancing and need some new input and someone to run with it once decided.

8th Grade Farewell Chair (2)

Act as the main point of contact and oversee the planning and process of farewell. This is a late Fall through end of year commitment.

Concessions - Inventory Chair

You would be responsible for checking inventory before events and restocking. This is an ongoing position.

Concessions - Sign Up Chair

This involves communicating with coaches to get schedules, setting up sign ups and sending out through coach and school emails and the newsletter. You would also meet/email coaches about encouraging opposite team participation. This is an ongoing position

BVEF Liaison Chair

Act as the main point of contact for the BVEF to communicate information to the board and parents. There is generally only 1-2 meetings at district office through the year but is an ongoing position.

Liaison Chair - Sports

Work with our assistant principal to see where we can provide extra help/funds for our sports teams. Depending on need plan fundraising events to bridge a gap. This is an ongoing position.
