Sign up to help staff our concessions booth for various events at MU!
Number of volunteers will depend on event type and estimated attendance. Volunteers must be 16 years or older (any volunteer that is 16-17 years old requires a parental consent form be brought with them each time they volunteer but a parent DOES NOT have to be present). We will be responsible for all operations of our booth including: setup, making items, collecting money, cleanup, and inventory. Training for how to run the booths will be provided on the day of the event although return volunteers are appreciated!
Volunteers should expect to arrive AT LEAST 2 hours prior to gates opening for the event (gates open approximately 1.5 hours before event start). Exact report times will be updated as soon as they are available. Plan on staying for the entire event. End times will depend on type of event and crowd size. We typically do not know end times until we arrive. Failure to report on time may result in your inability to help staff the booth which could then result in a reduction of our possible donation. If we have at least 16 volunteers and follow all the rules we can collect up to 12% of the net proceeds for the day.
Volunteers are expected to report for duty in proper uniform: tan/khaki pants and closed toed shoed. A shirt/hat will be provided. Artificial nails and visible piercings (aside from ears) are not allowed.
All volunteers are required to complete an alcohol awareness training through Levy. You will receive an e-mail from Signup Genius confirming your signup with information on how to complete the training. Please follow the directions closely or your training will not count! At the end of the training you will be asked to enter an e-mail for your supervisor -- please enter the e-mail on the form you receive!
