Thank you for being a part of the 5pm Usher Team.
Please try to arrive by 4:30- 4:40. There is a nametag box at the Welcome Center. Please get your usher name tag...filed under the letter of your first name. Please wear this during the service, but please file it back following the service. Please rope off all the back rows. Please hand out bulletins and greet people as they arrive. Please assist people in finding seats as needed. The 1st Saturday of each Month please encourage people to put on a nametag. Extra sticker nametags and sharpies are kept behind the Welcome Center in case you need to replenish. If there are 2 ushers present, please have one usher help greet people as they come in if one of the greeters isn't present.
If there are 2 ushers present, please have both ushers count the attendance. Please include everyone present, including staff, volunteers, nursery..etc.. Both ushers should put their number on the yellow attendance sheet. You will see 3 lines because on Sunday, we have 3 different ushers count. Feel free to use scratch paper to keep your tally so you can add people as they enter late and then transfer your final count to the yellow slip. Please put this yellow slip in Pastor Tim's mailbox which is in the copy room.
You will place an offering table and plate in the middle aisle for offering. If you need guidance on where it should be, ask Conor or the pastor. Following the Offering, please remove table and put the money in an envelope. Ask Ryan for the key if you don't know where it's located. Please have Ryan walk with you to drop the offering off.
At the end of the service, please remove the ropes from the back rows. We.are encouraging people to take home the bulletins, so ushers no longer need to stand in the back at the end of the service. Once the ropes are down, you can check seats for any items left behind. Any bulletins found on seats can be recycled.
Please leave the pastor's basket in the front row. This basket has various items that the pastor's might use during a worship service. This basket stays on the chair in the front row.
