The GCM BPO provides lunches for our hard-marching students every day of Band Camp. For each day, we need a lead and two volunteers to set up, serve, and clean up. The orders have been placed, and the leads will be given instructions for meeting the delivery, and retrieving drinks and other lunch elements from the Music Work Room. We also need Costco runs before each camp week, and maybe one during each week (keep an eye on your email if you sign up for the mid-week run because it might be canceled). There is probably no lunch August 23 because Band Camp will probably start at 1 pm that day.
We also like to start off Band Camp with a Parent Coffee in the parking lot at 7:45 am on Monday, August 12. We're looking for someone to order and pick up the coffee, juice, donuts, plates, cups, and napkins.
WE NEED YOUR HELP, PARENTS. The BPO and Band Program expect each band and colorguard family to volunteer a minimum of 5 shifts plus Tag Day throughout the marching season. Opportunities to sign up for shifts can be found on the SignUpGenii for:
- Band Camp Lunches and Parent Coffee
- Uniform Measurement and Fitting (posted in August)
- Game Day Volunteers (posted in August)
- Competition Volunteers (posted in August)
- Tag Day Parent Volunteers (posted in August)
Go to www.marshallband.org and click on the Volunteering article to find all the SignUpGenii.
Please direct questions about lunches and the parent coffee to Melanie Farr. Please let her know if you have to cancel your volunteering slot.
This is the kick-off to a great season! Thank you for all you do!
