IF YOU ARE NOT INTERESTED IN ANY OF THOSE LISTED, PLEASE CANCEL YOUR APPOINTMENT. THIS WILL OPEN UP THE APPOINTMENT FOR SOMEONE ELSE. THANK YOU.
Starting on Wednesday, March 25th, we will be offering appointments to individuals wishing to adopt from Animal Welfare Association. This is to still provide adoptions throughout the week and maintain the fewest people possible in the shelter at one time.
If you are interested in adopting an animal from the shelter, please choose one of the available slots and sign up. Please keep in mind, your appointment is to come to the shelter to view the adoptable animals that are available at your appointment time, not to specify which animal you would like to meet with or reserve a meet with a specific animal.
If you are more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, you will be asked to leave and will have to reschedule. You will need to follow the link to Signup Genius again and sign up for a different day and time. We cannot accommodate or make exceptions for anyone arriving more than 10 miuntes late to their appointment.
If you are unable to make your appointment time, either remove yourself from the time slot so someone else can sign up, call Adoptions at 856-424-2288 Ext. 102 or email Adoptions at [email protected] and advise them that you can no longer make your appointment time. Please do this as soon as you know you cannot make the appointment.

The following is a list of FAQ's that was put together, so please read through these.
- If I leave a comment for the specific animal I want to meet with, will I be able to see that animal?
Unfortunately, we can not guarantee that the specific animal you would like to meet with will still be available at the time of your appointment. When you arrive for your appointment, you can request to meet with a specific animal and the adoption counselor will let you know if they are available.
- How do I sign up for an appointment?
Please follow the Sign Up Genius link (https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C044BAFAE23A5F85-adoption) to schedule your appointment.
- Can I make more than one appointment on the same day?
One appointment per person per day. We ask that you are only signing up for one appointment during this time to ensure others are able to sign up as well.
- Who can I bring with me to this appointment?
Limit the number of family members coming with you to the appointment to 4 people total. Those coming should be those people in your immediate household only.
- Can I make an appointment to see an animal that is in foster care?
No, animals in foster care are not yet available for adoption. Only those animals listed on our website are available for adoption by appointment.
- How long will the appointment last?
30 min per appointment, longer if deciding to adopt same day.
- What if I can no longer make my appointment time?
Please remove yourself from the slot you are signed up for or email [email protected] that you can no longer make your appointment time.
- Should I bring my current dog with me to this appointment if I want him/her to meet the dog I’m interested in?
Yes, if you would like your dog to meet the shelter dog by all means bring him.
(Please do not bring any other pets, only dogs get to meet other dogs.)
- Do I have to adopt the same day as my appointment?
Yes, we will not be allowing any 24 hour holds for the appointments.
