Dear Parents of Tweens and Teens,
A small group of parents are gathering on the 2nd Sunday (usually) of each month for education, support and encouragement as we parent through adolescence. A few times a year we'll bring in a guest speaker for some education. The rest of the time, we'll share our struggles and successes with one another and learn from each other!
Our first meeting is February 9, 4:30 - 6:00 PM. All are invited to join us. To RSVP, please put your name in the slots below!
At each meeting we'll have some sort of potluck. Our first theme is taco night! Sign up to bring something if you are able.
On February 9, we will have guest speakers from the Austin Family Institute (Rebecca Oates and Matt Godwin) come and talk with us about teenage brain development and give us tips to parents through adolescence.
If you have youth in 6th-12th grade, please bring them to youth group which is meeting concurrently. Usually, Middle School youth meets from 3:30 - 5 pm and High school meets from 5:30 - 7 pm, with a dinner for both ages in between. On Sundays when parents are meeting, MS will meet 3:30-4:30, HS will meet 6:00 - 7:00, and there will be a combined time of dinner and games for both ages from 4:30 - 6:00 pm.
If you have younger children (5th grade and under) that will need childcare, please reserve childcare by emailing: [email protected]
