Welcome to Olde Creek's Family Heritage Night, Tuesday, April 9, 6 to 8 p.m.
Family Heritage Night is a celebration of the Olde Creek community's rich ethnic, cultural and religious diversity. It is an opportunity to share family traditions and favorite dishes. And it is a chance to hang out with friends and learn from each other in a relaxed, welcoming environment. Please join us for a night of food, skits, dance and conversation.
The food will be served-buffet style. Please bring a favorite dish -- It can be anything that means something to your family, whether it is a casserole passed down from your grandmother's recipe collection or a dish representing an important cultural tradition or religious holiday. Please include a card with your dish with a list of ingredients, as we have children with allergies and dietary restrictions. Please also feel free to include a description of the origins, meaning or just some fun details about the dish you have prepared.
There will be performances, including singing, dancing and skits.
Also, if your family wants to create an educational display about your heritage, we encourage you to do so! We will have a place in the cafeteria for displays. Trifolds, for example, are a great way to share!
We thank you so much for celebrating with us, the International Night Committee
