We are hiring a Staff Accountant to help drive Lumaverse’s growth. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building new processes and executing against them, and is a finance wizard.


  • Manage billing and collections
  • Prepare and review accounts payable and disbursements
  • Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts
  • Record monthly revenues and expenses
  • Enter and reconcile cash and credit card activity
  • Assist with payroll administration
  • Prepare expense and financial statement analyses
  • Review and process expense reports
  • Assist with month end, quarter end and year end closing processes
  • Maintain vendor, customer, and other files
  • Recommend changes to accounting procedures as needed
  • Answer accounting and financial questions by interpreting data
  • Assist with special projects as required
  • Review contracts and any new business activities for appropriate accounting treatment

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or Accounting or equivalent experience
  • 1 – 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Previous experience with daily accounting activities and reconciliations
  • Familiarity with GAAP
  • CPA preferred but not required
  • NetSuite experience a plus
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent mathematical skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Effective time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment
  • Capacity to own certain accounting functions as well as be hands-on with day-to-day activities
