About the National SeaPerch Challenge
The National SeaPerch Challenge brings together 200 middle and high school teams who have successfully built a remotely operated vehicle (ROV), and have won their SeaPerch regional event. During the competition, students compete in underwater robotics challenges and present / document their strategy and knowledge of engineering problems and concepts through an engineering notebook and presentations in front of a panel of judges.
To help make this event successful, we need over 200 volunteers. This is a great opportunity to connect with these students as they explore the field of robotics and engineering. This is also a great way to give back to your local community.
Thank you for your support. If you have any questions, please contact Tina Closser at email@example.com
The venue for the National SeaPerch Challenge will be the Georgia Tech Campus Recreation Center and the Coach Herb McAuley Aquatics Center, home of the water events held during the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. Students and chaperones will be housed at Georgia State University, which is close by, and other guests will be housed at the Sheraton Atlanta, just a block from Georgia State. Housing will not be provided for volunteers.
ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK TO BE ABLE TO SERVE AT THE EVENT. YOU SHOULD RECEIVE AN EMAIL WITHIN A FEW WEEKS TO COMPLETE A BACKGROUND CHECK FOR THE EVENT.
