Salvation Farms - Vermont Commodity Program
Thanks for your interest! Volunteers lending a hand is a huge help in moving surplus VT crops into the community.
Volunteering at the VCP entails handling bulk quantities of produce and preparing it for distribution through the charitable food system by cleaning, quality-assessing, and packing it.
Our facility is located at 276 East Allen St, Unit #7, Winooski, VT, 05404. It is in the Hillside Park complex between Vermont Moving and Storage and Combat Fitness.
Please wear close-toed shoes, clothes you are okay with getting a little wet/dirty, a hat if you’d prefer not to wear a hairnet, and expect to be on your feet for the majority of the time. Please also limit jewelry and be prepared to tie long hair back.
Please only sign up for slots you are confident you can commit to, and on the day you are scheduled to volunteer let me (Jake) know at (802) 291-1098 if you have any questions, will be late, etc...
Thanks, see you soon!
