CU Denver RaCAS
The Research and Creative Activities Symposium (RaCAS) showcases the research, creative and other scholarly activities of undergraduates and graduate students on the Denver Campus and Anschutz Medical Campus. The 21st annual RaCAS will be Friday, April 27, 2018 in the Student Commons Building space, Denver Campus, and will provide students the opportunity to present their work to an audience of peers, faculty, family, and visitors.
Benefit to Judges: Judging provides a unique opportunity to engage with a diverse range of students and learn about their research and creative activities. The Office of Undergraduate Experiences, upon request, will write a letter of participation for each judge, and it will be sent to the respective department chair or graduate program director for inclusion in their personnel file.
Judges will be expected to review, give feedback, and score assigned undergraduate and graduate student research presentations. Graduate students may judge undergraduate presentations. Postdoctoral fellows and faculty may judge undergraduate and/or graduate presentations. Research projects will be presented in one of three ways: Poster Presentations, Exhibit Presentations and Oral Presentations. Although an all-day event, judges will only be required to attend for an estimated 2 hour time block and judge between 5-8 presentations (refer to symposium program for times/topics). Presentations will be scored by multiple judges. Students will be recognized for exceptional work during an award ceremony at the conclusion of the event.
