Armed Forces / Yellow Ribbon Volunteers
SARWA is seeking volunteers to help with general assistance the upcoming Armed Forces Parade, the event will take place on Saturday, May 19th, with the concert portion of the event starting at 5 pm at the Arnesen Theater, and the parade starts promptly at 6 pm.
Volunteer shifts start at 3 pm. Please see time and volunteer slots available below. If you are volunteering with a group please indicate the company name and number of people that will be attending with the group on the following sign-up page. Thanks in advance, we could not do this without you!
Volunteers will assist to help with any of the following tasks:
- Set-up any signage around the Arneson Theater
- Help to set-up seating areas
- Distribute flags and programs to people along the parade route
- Usher and help maintain crowds along the river at the Arneson Theater
- Help with any tear-down after the parade and event are over.
Once you sign-up through this site you will receive a confirmation email. A few days prior to the event you will receive an email reminder which will include parking & traveling suggestions/ accommodations. (PLEASE LOOK OUT FOR THESE EMAILS)
Please Note: Volunteer tasks will be assigned the day of the event, please be flexible.
Water, snacks, and a complimentary lunch will be provided by Whataburger.
About The Parade
This parade, dedicated to the men and women of the United States Armed Forces, features 25 patriotically-decorated floats carrying all branches of military personnel.
On-stage entertainment will serenade the floats through the Arneson River Theater.
