Boy Scout Troop 509
The troop has arranged for two evening options for those who need to take the BSA swim test for upcoming outings. The dates are Friday, March 16th, and Friday, April 13th. The times for both are from 7:00 - 9:00 pm.
Those who should take the swim test are:
- Anyone who will be in a boat on the Whitewater Rafting trip on May 4th-6th and who has not passed the BSA swim test within a year of May 5th. If you are unsure whether you have, please check with Mrs Hagegard.
- Anyone who will be attending Seabase MUST take the swim test on one of these two evenings. To attend this trip, all youth and adults must pass the test in the presence of a certified life guard.
- Any scout who is working on rank advancement and needs the aquatics requirements for either Second or First Class (Rescue requirements now added on April 13th; we will start between 7:15-7:30).
Please sign up below for all of the test lists that you need to be on. For example, if you are going to both Whitewater and Seabase, please sign up for both. We will have separate signed lists for each trip.
For members of the Y, there will be no charge to use the facility. For non-members, there will be a $5 fee. In addition, the troop will be collecting $5 per person for the lifeguard fees. Please bring exact change.
If you have questions, please contact Mrs. Hagegard.
