The trip to British Columbia for the Hyack Parade followed by our Spring Band Camp at Camp Casey on Whidbey Island will be held on May 26th and May 27th. This trip is for any student who has participated in Marching Band during the 2017/2018 school year. Students and Chaperones must have proper identification (Passport/Green Card) to participate on this trip. We need 12 chaperones. Some chaperones will need to walk the parade route with the kids. Parade walkers will wear: khaki pants, white tennis shoes, and a green pep band jacket (provided). Please indicate if you are willing to walk the parade route on the survey. Volunteers must complete the Volunteer Application Packet, Watch the Adult Sexual Misconduct Prevention Video and Provide a photo of your Photo I.D. As this is an overnight trip, chaperones are also required to meet with V.P. Roy Merca. To schedule a meeting email Mr. Merca at [email protected] Paperwork can be given to Mr. Merca or turned in to the box in the band room. We ask that parents help contribute to the cost of this event which will be between $180-$200.
The form and the link to the video can be found here: www.seattleschools.org/families_communities/volunteer
