As with tradition, Wolftrap will be hosting a World Heritage Night. This event is only once every 2 years and showcases all the wonderful cultures in our Wolftrap community!

World Heritage Night is the celebration of cultures from around the world through music, dance, fashion show, and food. The student body at Wolftrap is diverse from various cultural, ethnic, and geographic backgrounds. World Heritage Night is an opportunity to celebrate our cultures and heritages.

Agenda for the evening (times are tentative):

6:30-7:30 - Table displays and food samples in the cafeteria (along with activities)

7:30-7:40 - Parade to the gym for those in traditional costume.  The parade will be by country.

7:45-8:30 - Performances in the gym (along with some of the activities like henna, etc.)

 

We Need Volunteers!

1. International Foods: Help find sponsors to donate; make a donation of food items ; or prepare your favorite international finger food (min serving of 25).

2. Country Exhibits: Create displays or interactive exhibits representing your heritage or country of interest (artwork, photos, crafts, national flag, Chinese Calligraphy, Yoga, Tea Ceremony)

3. Performances: Sing, play an instrument, dance, etc.

4. Fashion Parade: Wear a national costume and participate in the fashion parade

5. Activities: Make crafts with kids, write their names in foreign language, do calligraphy or henna tattoos

6. All-Around-General Volunteering: Assist with the fashion parade, set up and decorate, coordinate activities
