Kids Against Hunger Packaging Event

Kids Against Hunger Packaging Event

April 27-28, 2018

We are so excited to offer this volunteer opportunity! We will package 100,000 meals in 2 hours or less with 300 volunteers. Sound impossible? When we work together we can accomplish miracles!

The event will take place on Saturday, April 28 at St. Mary Parish, 837 Parkview Dr, Milton in the parish center. You MUST sign-up for a specific volunteer position (listed below). If you sign-up, but realize later you are not able to attend, please call Vicki at 868-3337 immediately, or log into Sign-Up Genius and delete the position you volunteered to do.

Please note that FLOATERS may or may not be needed. BUT, Floaters are a VERY IMPORTANT part of the process.

Packaging can be done by just about any age. However, before a table can begin packaging, ALL 10 VOLUNTEERS MUST BE PRESENT. On Saturday when you arrive, you will check in at the registration table, wash hands and be issued a hair net. From here you will go into church and be assigned a pew with the rest of your table to watch a “how-to” video. Once all 10 volunteers for your table have arrived, you will be escorted into the parish center and can begin.

At the end of the event, we will also need volunteers to help with the clean-up. Although we are not asking specifically for volunteers to sign-up for clean-up, please know that extra hands make for light work!
