MasterWorx Community Theater
When aging brother and sister Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert send to the orphanage in 1890's Nova Scotia for a boy to help them on the farm, they get more than they bargain for. Due to a mix-up, they are instead left with 12-year-old Anne Shirley. Over the course of the next few years, this romantic, hot-headed, and energetic girl wins their hearts and turns the stodgy, rural Canadian community into a bright world of "kindred spirits." This classic story is a crowd pleaser for all ages.
Auditioners should prepare a monologue (1-2 minutes) which is age appropriate and similar to the character in which you are interested. (Not something from the script, please.) No music auditions necessary as this is a straight play.
