International Festival Committee

International Festival

Memorial Spaulding's International Festival will be held Thursday 5/31 from 6:00-8:00!

The International Festival is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Memorial Spaulding's amazing diversity. The International Festival provides families with the opportunity to "visit" various countries, learn different languages, make arts and crafts, taste traditional foods from all over the world and be entertained by inspiring performances from across the globe! Most of all, this event teaches us all to celebrate our common humanity.

In order for this event to be a success, we NEED your help! There are MANY ways to get involved whether it's helping with set up, hosting a table, organizing a performance or helping with clean up... Your help will be GREATLY appreciated!

***If you want your country represented, please make sure to sign up for a table or performance as we will only be displaying the flag of a country, culture or region that is participating in this event with either a table OR performance.

***If you were registered to host a table or perform during the previously scheduled International Festival, please RE-REGISTER... We are very sorry for this incovenience!

Hosting a table: You are required to plan for and run your table thruought the entire event as well as take down and remove all items brought in at the end of the event. Please come prepared with any items necessary to run your table including utensils, paper goods etc.  We encourage you to represent your culture, country, region with pictures, food, crafts, books, artifacts, clothing etc... *** PLEASE MARK ALL ITEMS CONTAINING NUTS***

Performances: Performances may include dance, martial arts, music and/or other culturally significant arts. We will be holding a dress rehearsal on Thursday 5/31 from 3:00-4:30pm. *Each group of performers must have at least one adult present at rehersal to be responsible for coordinating/caring for their performers. If you cannot make the entire rehersal, please let us know what time your group will be stopping in and we will do our best to accommate you... Please also provide us with a brief description of your performance including names of performers.

Please rememeber that this event CANNOT take place without your help!
