FOOD TENT - Deputy Chief

You will be the "GO TO" person for the day! You will be planning the menu and coordinating the tent workers. Big picture - organizational skills needed.

 

Trailer driver - drop off Saturday or arrive by 6:30 am

Must have car/truck with 2” hitch ball- 2” ball fits 2” coupler on the trailer. Your vehicle and hitch need to be rated to handle trailer’s gross vehicle weight (GVW) of 3,000 lbs.- check owner’s manual.

 

ADVANCE Shop and delivery food and supplies.

Deb will provide a list by the Wednesday before the regatta. It will have details about what, how much plus where and when to deliver the goods. Save the receipts.

ADVANCE Shop: Ice (Saturday)

40 lbs of ice. Please bring it to the food trailer at the beach on Saturday at practice.

 

ADVANCE Shop/Cook: Pasta - 5 lbs. (3)

Purchase 5 lbs and precook penne pasta. Toss with small amount of olive oil to prevent sticking. Bring in ziplock bags. Can be done two days in advance and then brought by 11am to tent at regatta.

 

ADVANCE Shop/Make: Fruit Salads (3)

Make fruit salad for 25 people (about 4 gallons) and bring in large ziplock bags to tent at regatta by 8am.

 

ADVANCE Shop/prep: Romaine lettuce (2)

8 heads - washed, spun dry, chopped and wrapped in paper towels and delivered in large ziplock bags. Bring to tent by 10am.

 

Shop: Coffee - arrive by 7am

Purchase four coffee boxes. 2 reg, 1 decaf. and 1 hot cocoa. Place the order on Saturday and bring it to the tent by 7am. (We do not need sugar, milk, or creams) Keep the receipts.

 

Morning Food Tent Workers (7-11am) (5)

Set up tent, prepare and serve breakfast. Keep food stocked.

 

Midday Food Tent (10:30 am - 2:30 pm) (5)

Keep food stocked. Work grill, heat entrees, make sandwiches, etc.

 

Afternoon Food Tent (2pm-end) (5)

Complete serving, break down tables, grill, etc & pack into trailer.

 

LATE trailer driver - end of day

AFTER Dishes (Sunday-Tuesday) (3)

Bring home, wash and return to trailer @ the Wayland Town Beach parking lot.
