26th Annual Fore the Girls Golf Tournament - 2018

The 26th Annual Fore the Girls Golf Tournament is Tuesday, May 29,2018 Blue Hill Country Club, Canton.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Ursuline Academy Fore the Girls Golf Tournament! Proceeds from the tournament benefit Ursuline's outstanding athletics program. The Academy fields 27 teams in 15 interscholastic sports, and can proudly claim that approximately seventy-five percent of Ursuline students play at least one sport, contributing to their education in mind, body, and spirit. Below, we have listed the subcommittees and the kind of help needed by each.

Player Recruitment, Chair: Brendan King

Prior to event: Recruit golfers for the tournament by contacting those that have played in the past and/or recruiting players through those you know at Ursuline. Our Advancement team will provide contact lists.

 

Golfer Gift Bags (2)

Prior to the event: Assemble gift bags for the golfers. Shop for and assemble snack bags for the day of the event. We will provide you with the snack bags and a list of items needed from BJ's. Mothers/Daughters have done this together in the past.

Decor (2)

Prior to the event: Help create centerpieces for the event and assist with auction item display ideas

 

Transport and Set Up (Friday before - May 25th) (4)

Time Commitment: 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.; Assist with transporting items from Ursuline to Blue Hill. Help unload items into storage for the weekend.

Registration (5)

Time Commitment: 10:30 am - 12:30 pm. Greet the guests, distribute player gifts, assist with the sales of mulligans and passports.

Photography (2)

Time Commitment: 12:30 - 3:30 pm; Roving photographers taking candids throughout the afternoon. Please bring your camera cord with you so that we may upload the photos at the end of your shift for a slide show presentation.

Time Commitment: 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Set up prior to registration and staff the morning of the event.

Time commitment 5:30-8 pm. Ensure sheets are completed correctly and pull sheets at end of auction. Help distribute winning items to guests in attendance at the end of the evening.
