I can't seem to figure out what to select in order for an access code to be generated and provided to the invitee.

Joanna, if you are a sign up creator and need to add a name to your sign up, please log into your account and click "view" beneath the sign up icon on your account page. From the Admin Toolbar at the top, click "Add/Edit/Delete People." If you need further assistance, please click on the Help tab and send an email to our support team. Thanks!

I know there is a way to register for people but I can't seem to find the tab?

Hi Linda, The staff member can "sign up" for any slots that they are unavailable and choosing the option to "Display an alternate name". They can then enter: Unavailable or Already Reserved or anything along those lines. This will block the slot so that no one can sign up. I hope this will be helpful for you.
